Podcast: Interviews From D.C.

Behold, the latest audio clip from Sneaking Suspicion – a collection of interviews I conducted while at Barack’s inauguration. You’ll here the voice of people who came to DC from all over the country and the world. The diverse crowd includes a family of Latinos who made the drive out from New Mexico, a homeless man who just got out of prison, and a woman who sold her car to travel to D.C. from London. Be warned, it runs about 25 minutes. Long time, I know. Deal.
Enjoy.

  1. Great interviews! Lots of different perspectives offered, which was cool. What sticks out to me when listening to those interviews is the conflict of being angry at Bush and happy about Obama. While teaching Anger Management, one thing I learned is that only one of our responses can work at one moment in time – either our stress or our relaxation response. I don’t think people forgot about being infuriated with Bush, but they couldn’t help but be engulfed in the feeling of hope and relief – responses that are the opposite of anger. The immense positive power of Obama literally has rewired/tempered immediate emotional response towards Bush. I’d rather fuel that and let Karma and history books let Bush get his.
